The Garment Care Industry is a consumer services quilt made up from the combination of a number of sub-industries. Our locations are a virtual shopping mall consisting of a cobbler, a seamstress, a dry cleaner, and a launderer, to mention a few services. These individual industries are themselves durable, having each survived the entire 20th century including wars, recessions, and a depression. The combination of these industries represents the $20+ billion “Garment Care Industry” revenue pool potential for our Company.
In addition to satisfying the entire array of consumer needs in the area of garment care, our Company has already implemented this in an unprecedented manner; splitting the retail storefront where the consumer experience occurs from the more industrial based facility where the processing occurs. The practice in the outdated and small subset industry known as dry cleaning, whereby the individual attending to the consumer’s garment needs and the factory worker are one in the same person, has finally come to light as both ineffective from the processing standpoint and unfriendly from the view of the customer.
Dividing the operation into our Centralized Processing Facility (“CPF”) on the one hand and beautiful customer friendly storefronts on the other hand makes imminent sense. Just as the hub on a wheel has a center to provide balance to the structure and a common destination for the numerous spokes, our Company’s operating model parallels the strength of this design. Our CPF (“hubs”), which are environmentally green, cost efficient, and employee friendly complete all of the processing, rapidly and without waste, and the garments are then transported to numerous retail storefronts (“spokes”) where the consumer simply sees the finished product. This structure liberates our people to focus and execute based on their core competencies; skilled labor works at the Centralized Processing Facility, while our franchisees, who are mature, polished, educated individuals with the correct acumen, are freed up to grow their business through high-level personal interaction. The franchisee, unfettered by all industrial aspects of production, can simply satisfy the customer with a high quality deliverable, their garments, processed perfectly, as well as an introduction to additional services.
